The Zoo & You!

These are pictures that I took randomly as we travel around taking care of different assignments. We took the Elders to the Zoo before transfers, with permission from the Mission President. The Elders have been working very hard and have had much success.

Enjoy! It's 11:00 pm. I am going to bed. Good night.

Eggs & More Eggs! Lots of roadside stands.

This washing machine has a button and all you have to do is press it. You don't have to use a water hose to fill it.

This is the bed Joe slept in at the mission office in Georgetown.

This is the bed I slept in at the mission office in Georgetown. It had  a air conditioner in the window. I had to plug a whole in the window so the bugs would not come and the air would not escape.

This is the shower at the mission office. I thought we had die and gone to heaven. There was hot water. The first hot shower since our arrival in Guyana. Loved it.

Elder Carter checking out the air conditioner!  Wow what a luxury.

Elder Stewart & Palmer with 11 year old boy who was baptized because his good friend shared the gospel with him. No one in his family attended. They walked home together with their arms around each other. The innocence of youth warmed my heart.

Sister Esplin, Beutler, Carter, Cook, & Beecher  holding humanitarian quilts.

Our first visit to the Corriverton Branch. Only 21 attended but the 'Spirit was strong and their love radiated.

Some love to litter!
More trash. This was after a weekend of celebration they call Mash or Carnival.

Man and his donkey cleaning up trash!

I hope he got paid. He was working very hard.

This one is for you Big Al.

I just couldn't resist.

This is our Post Office that you can only pick up packages on Tuesday or Thursday between 10:30 & 11:30 am.

They are everywhere.
In case you are wondering this is our bug rug. There is a crack under the door, if bugs see light they come in so I block the light with a towel. It works so far. Me and bugs don't mix.

I am beginning to love the cows!

Sweet Varsha

Paul a new member with his children. We read the scriptures with Paul  two or three times a week.

Sweet family.

Cows and more cows on a new road that is being put in beside our house.

On the Road Again!

The following are some pictures taken on our P-day at the Zoo.

Don't look, Farrah
She hates snakes

Elder Watchman being silly. His nose looks like that wild hog.

They are posing for the camera!

Hey, Hey we're the monkeys!

Just monkeying around.

They do not mow or cut the lawn. They slash the lawn with a weed eater. No mowers here. He is covered up from head to toe. I feel sorry for him. He has to be hot.

No it isn't raining. The sun is very hot.

Don't look Farrah!
